Join us for the LUNG FORCE Walk/Run at Rancho San Rafael Park on May 3, 2025!

This event is perfect for friends, family, and company teams to come together, support those affected by lung disease and lung cancer, have fun, and get some exercise. Participants can choose between a 3K walk or a 5K fun run. If you can't attend in person, there's a "Walk Your Way" virtual option available. The American Lung Association invites everyone across the country to participate in the Reno LUNG FORCE Walk. For more information and to register, visit www.lung.org/nv.

Celebrate the magic of butterflies at the 2025 Mariposa Butterfly Festival! Join us May 3rd & 4th at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds for a weekend of fun, education, and entertainment for all ages. Experience the spectacular live butterfly release, explore Jurassic Mariposa with animatronic dinosaurs, enjoy two days of live music, a petting zoo, train rides, stilt walkers, jugglers, and silk aerialists! Visit Fairy Village for storytime with Miranda the Forest Fairy, take part in the Sunday obstacle course, and learn about butterflies and pollinators in Habitat Row, featuring a 40-foot caterpillar exhibit. Don’t miss the Mariposa Butterfly Festival Car Show on Saturday!

Doodle Your Soul is back with their famously awesome and creative Kid's Arts & Crafts Class! Come in this Saturday from 12-3pm to enjoy creating art and take home what you make.
This is completely free, but we ask you to RSVP to make sure we have plenty of supplies.
Adult supervision is required for the duration of the class.

Reno has a proud history of inspiring young minds. Historically through science fairs, Reno encouraged students to explore their passions in STEM. Unfortunately, the long-standing tradition, once hosted by UNR, was lost in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we are bringing it back—stronger than ever.

After an exciting debut last season, F-Rock Crew returns to northern Nevada! Founded over 20 years ago in the Central District of Seattle by Marcus “Fidget” Sharpe, Tim “Chipz” Uomoto, and Remi “Remz” Street, F-Rock Crew has achieved massive success around the world, working with artists and companies such as The Black-Eyed Peas, Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Usher, 2Chainz, New Edition, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Verizon, Red Bull, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nike. Staying rooted in the community has been F-Rock Crew’s ultimate secret to longevity and success.

F-Rock Crew’s program shares the history of Hip-Hop culture and the origins of each Hip-Hop dance style. Students and teachers will have an opportunity to learn Break-dancing, Popping, and Locking from some of the best dancers in the world! They’ll also learn about the pioneers who invented each move and inspired generations of dancers. This break-dancing based performance includes a positive message for kids, focusing on respect, anti-bullying, arts and culture, and American history.

This 60-minute family-friendly performance is presented with FREE ADMISSION in the Pioneer Center Theater. Seating is first come, first served.

Step back into the spirit of the 1920s at a lively evening celebrating two extraordinary exhibitions that honor American resilience and creativity. Stroll through the galleries and dive into the exhibitions, Dorothea Lange: Seeing People and When Langston Hughes Came to Town. Chat with gallery hosts ready to share fascinating insights. Sip on your favorite drinks from the cash bar while soaking in the soulful sounds of live jazz inspired by the roaring ’20s.

May the Fourth be with you at our specially themed sci-fi Head Rush! Our players will perform in a series of fun and exciting games with a sci-fi flair celebrating Star Wars and all our sci-fi favorites. Dress in costume we encourage you. Greatly impressed we will be!

Head Rush is one of Reno Improv’s most popular formats. This energetic short form show is closest to what many people think of when they hear improv – Whose Line Is It Anyway? The show features a variety of improv players in high-velocity games and hilarious scenes.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at renoimprov.org/events or at the door 30 minutes before the show. Intended audience 18+.

Help build a podcast about LGBTQ+ joy with us!

Whether you want to be the star of an episode, a small contributor, or help only with the audio production. We’ll learn about audio recording, editing and production while creating a new and unique podcast.

This group is open to all LGBTQ+ youth from ages 12-18. Class is $50 / month (sliding scale available).
